2023 AMS/CRM SOFTWARE SELECTION The Survey has Closed

Executive Summary – Why are we doing this survey?

Selecting and implementing a new AMS/CRM can be a painful, disruptive process for associations and their staff. Some people relate the experience to the pain of going through a root canal but lasting much longer! Software projects also experience a high failure rate. There needs to be a better way to handle this critical task.

In 2021 we did our inaugural survey which offered insights into these processes and critical decisions. After 2 years it’s time to update our data and see how the landscape has changed. Here is your chance to be part of the solution by sharing with us your experience as we craft tools and education to help our industry navigate these tricky waters.

Defining the Problems to Target Solutions

Branching Knowledge LogoTo help understand and alleviate the current friction and fragmentation in the selection process, 501Works, in partnership with Branching Knowledge, is conducting a survey of key stakeholders to better understand the problems/pain points and consequently be able to better define practical solutions to build better processes and systems for all.

If you are a member of this community, we hope you will consider participating in the survey. Stakeholder groups include:

  1. Association Seekers – the customer of the product – users of the AMS/CRM Systems, those that participate on SME teams and the people who gain the most if a system is successfully implemented. This includes staff from all key association areas, not just the association IT staff since the whole association uses and depends on the AMS/CRM – as well as Association Management Company staff who represent their association clients.
  2. Vendors/Solution Providers – those who build and service AMS and CRM systems. This includes executives, sales/marketing/business analyst, implementation teams and sales/implementation engineering staff.
  3. Consultants – the full-time experts working with association staff to help them with the selection and implementation of the best systems possible.

501Works plans to publish the initial results in early 2024 with additional information later in the year. All survey responses are anonymous, but participants have the OPTION to provide their contact information at the end of the survey for future opportunities to share their experiences.

We Appreciate Your Time!

If you take our survey, you have the option at the end of the survey to enter our survey appreciation drawing. For those who complete the survey and select the drawing registration option at the end of the survey, you will be entered into the drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.
